Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-22. Questions? hi@vetty.me

1. Agreement

By creating an account on vetty.me or uploading a resume, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use vetty.me. Younger users need verifiable parental consent (we don't currently support this — please don't sign up).
  • One account per person. Don't create accounts for other people without their consent.

3. Your content stays yours

You own everything you upload to vetty.me — your resume, photo, work history, generated outputs. We don't claim any ownership over it.

You grant us a limited license to process and store your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you (extracting, rendering, storing, displaying on your published profile if you choose). This license ends when you delete your content or your account.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use vetty.me to:

  • Misrepresent your identity, employment history, or credentials.
  • Upload resume content that's not yours (e.g., someone else's resume without their permission).
  • Upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other IP rights you don't hold.
  • Upload illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or load-test our infrastructure without prior written agreement.
  • Use the service to spam, phish, or otherwise harm other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

5. AI-generated content

vetty.me uses AI (OCR, large language models, image generation for template chrome) to extract, structure, and render your resume. We don't auto-rewrite your content — every AI suggestion requires your explicit approval before it changes your data.

AI extraction is best-effort. We track per-field confidence and provenance, but errors can happen. You're responsible for reviewing extracted content before relying on or sharing it.

6. Public profiles

You may choose to publish your career profile at vetty.me/{your-slug}. When you publish:

  • The content you choose to display becomes publicly accessible (controlled per Settings → Privacy).
  • Search engines may index it unless you opt out.
  • You can unpublish at any time, but cached copies on third-party services (Google, archive.org) may persist outside our control.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Azure, OAuth providers), or force majeure events may cause downtime.

8. Pricing & billing

Some features may require a paid subscription. When that's the case:

  • Pricing is shown at sign-up and any time you upgrade.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • We use Stripe for billing — Stripe's terms apply to payment processing.
  • Refunds are at our discretion; we generally honor good-faith requests within 14 days.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, vetty.me will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in that period, or (b) USD $50.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or shut down the service with reasonable notice.

On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to retain (e.g., billing records).

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email and on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless your jurisdiction's consumer protection laws require otherwise.
